Translation jobs and projects for both the international and Finnish customers. Seasoned simultaneous and remote interpretation professional. Enterpreneur in the field since 2005. Coordinator of a nine-member translator/interpreter team (English-Finnish-English). Responsible for translation and interpretation coordination and proofreading. Worked with customers in marketing, research, medical, and entertainment fields.
Lead English teacher (Heinola-institute, 2004-2005)
Full-time English teacher during 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 at a vocational institute in Heinola, Finland for over 600 students in business and administration, IT, technology, hospitality and services fields. As the main VESL/EFL/ESP instructor, wrote and selected the course materials, as well as designed the curriculum. Oversaw the student testing and evaluation for English. Worked with at-risk youth and special needs –students and adapted the teaching and testing based on the individualized training plans. Assesssed the immigrant language proficiency and prepared reports for possible exemptions from, and substitutions of, foreign language requirements. Responsibilities included the evaluation of transfer credits in accordance with the policies of the institute and the Ministry of Education. Also taught English business communication courses for the marketing and accounting division management of a multinational paper and wood products group.

Director of an administrative department of a large State University. Student advisor for academics and other issues. Responsible for administering over $4,000,000 VA education benefits to over 1200 students. Supervised 9 employees. Represented the veterans and advocated their issues to the University community.
Project Assistant; hospital medical administration specialist (Veterans’ Medical Center, Idaho, USA, 1995-1998)
Member of a project team that developed new operating systems to medical administration. Reported to the Project Director. Authored a Pre-registration program user manual for a Medical Care Cost Recovery unit that became a system-wide standard to over 170 medical centers and clinics.
Personnel Administration Specialist (US Air Force, New Mexico, USA 1988-1994)
Held weekly orientation training sessions to incoming and outgoing military personnel, including HR orientation meetings; also trained occupational safety and security training.
