Factors Relevant to the Issuance of a Special Use Permit:

In issuing a Special Use Permit, the Town Board of Commissioners shall consider the application in accordance with Article VII of the Town of Ramseur Zoning Ordinance. Pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance, a Special Use Permit shall be granted when each of the following findings is made concerning the proposed special use:

1.  That the use or development is located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or promote the public health, safety, and general welfare;

2.  That the use or development complies with all required regulations and standards of this ordinance and with all other applicable regulations;

3.  That the use or development is located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or enhance the value of contiguous property or that the use or development is a public necessity; and

4.  That the use or development conforms with the general plans for the land use and development of Town of Ramseur as embodied in this chapter and in the Town of Ramseur Development Guide.

In the spaces provided below, indicate the facts that you intend to show and the arguments that you intend to make to convince the Board that it can properly reach these four required conclusions.

1.  That the use or development is located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or promote the public health, safety, and general welfare.

2.  That the use or development complies with all required regulations and standards of this ordinance and with all other applicable regulations.

3.  That the use or development is located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or enhance the value of contiguous property or that the use or development is a public necessity.

4.  That the use or development conforms with the general plans for the land use and development of Town of Ramseur as embodied in this chapter and in the Town of Ramseur Development Guide.

I hereby request the Town of Ramseur Board of Commissioners to issue a Special Use Permit for the above-named property because, under the interpretation given to me by the Zoning Enforcement Officer, I am prohibited from using the parcel of land described in this form in a manner shown by the plot plan attached. I certify that all the information presented by me in this application is accurate to the best of my knowledge, information and belief.
