The Course:

This has been created specifically for key Christian workers who live “overseas” to give them the opportunity to study at the IBTI, who due to changes in UK visa regulations, would otherwise not be allowed to. Subjects covered in this course are: Pastoral Ministry, 21st Century Leadership, Systematic Theology, Ministerial Ethics, Church Administration, Strategy in Ministry, Ministry of Jesus, Missiology and Cross-Culture Communications, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Interpersonal Relations, Evangelism, Christian Social Care, and Christian Counselling.

Criteria for admission to this course are:

  • be a “mature” Christian of good character
  • be working in Christian ministry and have a position to return to
  • have application endorsed by your Senior Minister
  • submit a letter of recommendation from your Senior Minister
  • have sufficient funds to pay IBTI board & lodging costs, travel expenses, and personal living costs
  • be proficient in the English language to study
  • have already undertaken Bible studies.

Your costs to attend this course of study will be:

  • Student Visitor Visa (for six months only)
  • Travel expenses (your return airfare and transport on arrival in UK)
  • Board & lodging costs (£2,500 payable in advance)
  • Personal living expenses (minimum £50 per month)

If you can meet these requirements, with documentary evidence, the IBTI will be happy to consider your application.

What you will need to do:

1. Complete the Application Form/Testimony Form and submit to IBTI with all copies of documentary evidence required.

2. If you are accepted you will be sent a letter offering you a place on the course.

3. On receipt of the full payment for board & lodging (which will be refunded, less any bank charges, if you are not granted a visa) we will send you a letter of confirmation of acceptance onto the course.

4. You may use the letter of confirmation of acceptance to apply for a Student Visitor Visa.

5. Make your travel arrangements (but do not pay your fare until you have received a Student Visitor Visa).

6. When you receive your visa please inform the IBTI.

7. The IBTI will then send you further information regarding your arrival in UK.

Please note you may only attend this course on a Student Visitor Visa and restrictionsare that:

  • you may notwork in UK
  • you cannotbe put on a placement during your course
  • you will have toleave UK six months after date of entry
  • you may not apply for extension of this visa
  • or apply for another visa while you are in the UK.
