Cheating:

Cheating is defined as turning in work that is not your own or giving your work to another student so that they can claim it as their own. Cheating is against class and district policy for academic honesty. If caught cheating:

  • Zero on the assignment
  • Phone call home
  • Office Referral
  • Lose the respect of Mrs. White 

Absences:

Attendance is important. When absent you miss valuable instruction-each day builds on the previously learned material. Due to software copyrights and not all students having access to computers, all work must be done in the classroom. Collaboration is through sign up with Mrs. White, remember this is not a substitute for class time. Mrs. White has a class first hour so seating is limited, do not rely on collaboration time. Make up policy in student handbook.

Long Term Projects

The semester projects are included to help students meet deadlines, set priorities and to work towards a goal. I understand that life happens—sickness, vacations,—however, the work is always waiting when we return. The semester projects-Ainsworth and MicroType 5make up a large percentage of the overall grade. Students are to work on these projects when the daily lessons are completed, when class time is dedicated to the project and if needed duringbefore or after school lab times.

PER HANDBOOK-Long term Assignments:

Occasionally teachers assign work requiring two or more weeks to complete. Because of the nature of these assignments and their grading they may be due on a specific date and may be exempt from the absence/make up policy. Students are encouraged to turn in assignments early. Teachers will notify students in writing of long-term assignment due dates.
