SUMMARY: For more than thirty years, I have been employed as a program coordinator/instructor in several ESL programs. I have extensive experience in program management, campus supervision, curriculum writing, and staff development as well as instruction at all levels. I am particularly interested in developing reading and grammar materials.

HOUSTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM

Intensive English Program (9/90 - present)

Adult Ed., VOICE Program (1977-1978)

·  served as assistant-chair of the Intensive English Program-SW

·  audio lab facilitator; oversaw implementation of new digital audio lab

·  developed curriculum and materials for teacher-training program for Mexican teachers;

·  full-time instructor in the IEP,; serve on discipline and honors committees;

·  at ELAP, supervised personnel and activities at 27 campuses; assessed students’ language level; developed testing materials and procedures; devised strategies for program revision; wrote policies/procedures manual for campus/staff; implemented Learning Center concept

·  in other HCCS programs, instructed students at a variety of levels.
