5th Annual Fresno Ice Derby

1.  DATE: January 30 & 31, 2016

2.  START TIME: 7:00 AM TO 3:00 PM on Saturday, 7:00 AM TO 2:00 PM on Sunday

3.  The Havre Area Chamber Ag Committee fishing derby is designed to win cash and at the same time protect the FISHERY,

Raise funds for a MSU-Northern Scholarship and have FUN!!!!

4.  All participants will abide by Montana fish regulations and possession limits. You must have a valid and current Montana Fishing License. Youth 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult licensed participant.

5.  Pre-registration preferred, but same day registration is available. The entry fee is $25 per day or $50 for both days. You do not have to fish both days. Cash prizes will be awarded specifically for each day and amounts will be determined by the number of participants each day. If you only paid for Saturday, then decide to fish Sunday, the fee will be $25.

8.  Prize eligibility – The daily prize payout will be determined by the number of fishermen that are registered each day.

9.  Fishermen will be required to remove all lines at the end of each fishing day.

10.  Eligible fish – Northern Pike, Walleye, and Perch/Croppy, (Perch and Croppy will be combined), will be the only fish that will be measured. You will need to have your fish measured by within ½ hour of the ending time for each day. The weigh-in is located at The Walleye Tavern for both days.

11.  There will be cash prizes for the 3 longest Northern Pike, Walleye and Perch/Croppy caught each day. If one species of the eligible fish is NOT caught the money will be divided between the other fish species for that day.

12.  Spear fishing will be allowed.

13.  Any violations of the contest rules or violation of Montana Fish and Game Regulations will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of fishing prizes and entry fees.

14.  If any participant is considered to be disruptive to the harmony of the derby they will be asked to leave the derby at the discretion of the FISHING DERBY OFFICIALS and will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of fishing prizes and entry fees.

15.  The FISHING DERBY OFFICIALS decision shall be final in any protest during the fishing contest. Derby officials will not be the on the ice.

SPECIAL NOTE: Participants can set SHELTERS prior to the derby and can leave the shelters, but the participants do so at their own risk.
