Learning objectives:
·Present to AEGD and GPR program directors and faculty up-to-date information on program standards, requirements for curriculum and reports
·Allow extensive time for attendee questions to ensure topics of particular interest and the needs of the audience are addressed
·Provide a venue where AEGD and GPR program faculty and directors can network and exchange ideas
Program directors and faculty of AEGD and GPR programs see the SCDA annual meeting as a prime venue where they can network and receive guidance on issues affecting their residency programs. This presentation will offer an opportunity for program directors and faculty to receive information from educational experts and staff of the Commission on Dental Accreditation. As well, program directors and faculty will be able to network with others in a genial and conducive setting.
AEGD and GPR program directors and faculty contend constantly with changes in program conduct including changes in standards, new curricular needs and the need to report to CODA developments such as new program sites and program modifications. Those Programs scheduled for upcoming site visits will find the presentation to be helpful in preparing for their visit.
This 60-minute panel discussion will offer AEGD/GPR program directors and faculty the opportunity to benefit from the experience and guidance of recognized experts on topics of daily concern. The panel members will present new information of interest to the audience and, as ample time will be scheduled for audience questions, it is ensured that topics of the greatest interest will be discussed.

As CODA topics are typically of the greatest interestto directors and faculty, it is suggested that Peggy Soeldner lead off the presentation with a discussion of the above topics.
Discussion and questions from the audience will keep the presentation moving along and the others in the presentation group will serve as experts to answer questions from the audience.
