I hope this letter finds you well. I (personal statement/info about where you’re at in school or life). For the past (statement about recent involvement with YL and/or church). I have been invited to participate in a short term mission trip in Livorno, Italy with MCYM (Military Community Youth Ministries) from June 15 to July 6.
MCYM (also known as Club Beyond) is a non-profit, cooperative venture combining the vision and skills of three major Christian youth outreach organizations: Youth For Christ, Young Life, and Life Teen. MCYM (referred to as Club Beyond in local communities) responds to the requests from military chaplains, parents and commanders to place youth workers where invited to do so, working under the provisions of the government contracts. Each year MCYM offers a week-long outreach camp to the middle and high school students involved in Club Beyond communities in the European Theater.
I am excited about what God will do in my life and in the lives of teenagers and their families through this ministry opportunity. Would you partner with me in this? There are two specific ways you can be a part of this mission trip:
1. Prayer Partner. Would you pray for me and our team before, during and after our trip? If so, please send me your email address by contacting me at (YOUR CONTACT INFO). You will receive a regular email updating you on the trip, prayer needs and praises.
2. Financial Partner. The cost of this trip is about $3000 (including airfare, camp fees, meals and a tour afterwards). Would you make a donation towards the cost of this trip? If so, please mail a check made payable to “Young Life” with my full name and “Italy Assignment” written on the memo line to me at (ENTER YOUR ADDRESS) or Young Life, P.O.
