Cibolo Classic Dairy Goat Show

April 21-22nd, 2012

We are excited to announce the 14th annual Cibolo Classic Dairy Goat Show, four ADGA sanctioned Alpine, Nubian, LaMancha, Nigerian, Saanen, AOP & Recorded Grade Shows. The Nigerian shows will be dually sanctioned with AGS. The shows will be held at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Decatur, Texas. We sincerely appreciate the support we have received in years past and we look forward to this years show.

JUDGES:

Judge: Melinda Butler of Gainesville, TX will judge in Ring 1 on Saturday, April 21.

Judge : Dan Laney of Los Lunas, NM will judge in Ring 2 on Saturday, April 21.

Judge: Tecoa Siebert of Chapman, KS will judge in Ring 1 on Sunday, April 22.

Judge: Jeff Klein of Crowley, TX will judge in Ring 2 on Sunday, April 22.

RULES: All shows are sanctioned by ADGA and their rules shall govern, the following breed (Nigerian) is also dually sanctioned by AGS and their rules shall govern their shows. The Senior Doe & Junior Doe shows are separately sanctioned. Original registration papers are required on all goats being shown. Stamped duplicates will be accepted on animals under six months of age. All Nigerians will be measured upon entering the show ring. To avoid any disappointments, please measure your goats and check their tattoos before bringing them to the show.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: We will not be requiring health permits this year. We ask that you please do not bring sick animals to this show. Any animals showing any signs of illness will not be allowed in pens. We will be doing pen checks to enforce this rule. Sick animals and their pen mates will be asked to leave. Please leave sick goats at home.

ENTRIES: Entry fees are $7 per goat per show. We are offering a discount for goats entered in all four shows, cost will be $20 or $24 (see entry page for details). Entry deadline is March 31st. Late entries will be accepted at $10 per goat per show. Sorry, no refunds. Substitutions will be accepted at check-in without penalties. Exhibitors are encouraged to return their entries as early as possible to ensure a smoother running show. Base date for computing age for Saturday's shows is April 21, 2011. Base date for computing age for Sunday's show is April 22, 2012. Entry forms are enclosed, additional entries may be written on a separate sheet of paper. Payment must accompany entries no exceptions. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Amy Kowalik.
Returned checks will be result in an additional $35 fee and exhibitor will be asked to pay cash or money order the following year.

PENS AND BEDDING: Pen fees are $2 per pen. Pen space is limited so most tack will probably have to remain in the aisles. Exhibitors with small kids and/or jumpers may want to bring materials to secure these animals. Most pens have latches but, you may wish to bring snaps or wire to ensure that latches are secure. We will not be providing shavings this year but there are several feed stores in town that carry them. We are charging pen fees in order to pay for the barn clean up, since we are doing this you will NOT have to clean your pens.

TIME: The Saturday shows will start at 8:30 am. You may check in your goats anytime after 5 pm on Friday April 20th. We would prefer if all goats could be checked in FRIDAY. Please note that there is no security at the fairgrounds. The Sunday show will start at 8:30 am. We will try to end the Sunday show early in consideration of those who have a long drive home.
RAFFLE: We will be having a raffle to help offset the cost of putting on this show. Please try to bring raffle items!
GENERAL INFORMATION:
* We will not have a concession stand this year, can soft drinks and bottled water may be available.
* Free coffee will be served on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
