  1. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Family & Consumer Science 12 includes basic skills necessary to live on one’s own. Included will be a unit on sports nutrition and healthy eating for teens and young adults. Students will evaluate their own eating patterns, using the food pyramid to analyze and implement changes in personal diet. The curriculum will be personalized to meet the interests of the class, as various cooking principles are demonstrated and practiced. Food included will be eggs, milk products, protein sources, and grains.
