The students will compose and write a simple letter to a student in the class.The students will take turns pulling a name out of the box to write a letter to. Next, the students will seal the letter in an envelope. The teacher will give each student a replica of a stamp to put on the envelope. The students will then "mail" the letter to a student in the classroom in their class mailbox.

THEME
(pl/vs-ss)The teacher will instruct the students on the fire safety STOP, DROP, ROLL The students will be instructed on what to do in case of a fire. The students will help Freddie Fireman get ready to put out a fire by coloring, cutting out and gluing the pictures of his equipment in the correct place. The students will also cut out a fire hat. If time permits, balloons will be taped to the back and front of each child. The students will roll on the ground until the "fire" is put out (balloons popped).
