The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and Coastal Staffing LLC cordially invite you to participate in OBX Success, a Job Search Training and Job Fair weekend February 22 & 23, 2013. Location will be at the Sea Ranch Resort in Kill Devil Hills.

Enclosed please find the2013 vendor regulations and application form. Please let this serve as your invitation to exhibit and accept applications for employment at our Saturday Job Fair. Job Fair hours on Saturday will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We have several important goals for this event. On Friday, from 4 – 7 p.m., we’ll host educational sessions to help job applicants review their resumes and prepare for job interviews. On Saturday, they’ll be able to put their skills to work as they visit with potential employers and apply for the opportunity to work for you.

We recognize the importance of filling the right positions with qualified people. We’ll be advertising the event locally, through the NCESC office, high schools, colleges, and media. We’ll also be marketing to several nearby colleges and universities, to increase the pool of applicants for our hospitality and customer service focused jobs.

The cost for a vendor table at this event is $50 for Chamber members and includes a table and two chairs (you bring applications, business cards, table cloth, banner, signage for your booth). Non-members can participate as space allows at $100 per table.

OBX Success Job Fair 2013

1.Space is limited in the Job Fair and applications will be processed on a first-applied/first-served basis. Call the Chamber office at (252) 441-8144, ext. 229, e-mail your request to , or visit the calendar section of to reserve your space.

2.The prices are quoted on the Exhibitors Contract. Full payment or authorization to bill your corporate office (purchase order #) is due with application.

3.The Vendor space rental fee includes one 6 ft. table and 2 chairs. It is the vendor’s responsibility to bring signage, banners, tablecloths, employment application forms, business cards, and any other items needed for the Job Fair.

4.Exhibitors can set up booths between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the meeting room at the Sea Ranch Resort, Kill Devil Hills. All booths must be ready when the Job Fair opens at 11:00 a.m. and will remain open until fair ends at 3:00 p.m.

5.OBX Success Job Fair hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013. The Job Fair will be free and open to the general public.Please note that the job seeker target market will be front line staff and entry/re-entry level employees who will be providing customer service to patrons. Bank tellers, retail clerks, reservationists, hotel staff, event sales, and the like would be included.

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and its partners (Coastal Staffing LLC, College of the Albemarle’s Small Business Center, NC Employment Security Commission, The Beach Book, Essential Human Resource Development, LLC) will market Friday’s training opportunities and the Saturday Job Fair.
