The main responsibilitiesinclude:
  • Managing and administering UNRWA’s Salesforce database including new user setup and existing user security and settings management, object and field creation and edits, and page layouts and design;
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers (including web, email and payment providers) and internal stakeholders (including the Information Management Services Division (IMSD)) to inform the data strategy and database development and secure the smooth delivery of database services through Salesforce. Ensuring the technical maintenance of Salesforce, liaising with external suppliers as necessary;
  • Identifying opportunities for using insight and data within Salesforce more effectively to improve database marketing for the Individual Giving programme;
  • Keeping up to date with current Salesforce developments and considering if they can be applied to UNRWA. Providing expertise on Data Protection legislation and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. Raising the profile of data protection issues regularly. Developing and delivering comprehensive induction and ongoing training and associated ‘How to’ documentation for Salesforce users at UNRWA. Auditing the database regularly to ensure data is clean, accurate and that staff are following procedures for data entry and management;
  • Being responsible for data selections for fundraising activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring data selections are planned and organized effectively across fundraising;
  • Advising fundraisers on selecting data and undertaking data selections. Working with fundraisers to support the development of long term sustainable supporter journey planning. Managing the import and export of data to and from external suppliers including web, email and payment providers;
  • Leading on data analysis and in developing and implementing reporting tools, producing regular management information and campaign evaluation data. Ensuring that data and income are reconciled between Salesforce and UNRWA’s Contribution and Finance records.
Conditions of service
  • The duration of the consultancy is 11 months.
  • The Consultant can be based in Amman, Jordan or work remotely.
  • Remuneration will be based on the ICSC salary scale equivalent to the P-2 level, and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education /
  • A Bachelor degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technologies, Business Administration or a related discipline;
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator;

Work
Experience /
  • Minimum four years of experience configuring, testing, documenting and supporting the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and proven experience in a global fundraising environment working with donors and suppliers;
  • Thorough understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Salesforce in particular. Thorough understanding of fundraising systems integration including payment gateways, email platforms and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365;

Language(s) / Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Desirable qualifications:
Arabic language would be an advantage.
