A.A. CRIMINAL JUSTICE
MINIMUM DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 60 credit hours.
- ENG 093, 094, MAT 100 as prerequisites, if indicated by Placement Test. ENG 093, 094 and MAT 096, 098 receive zero credit. MAT 100 receives only free elective credit.
- English: a minimum of 6 credit hours, to include ENG 101 and 102.
- Humanities: a minimum of 6 credit hours, with COM 101 being required. The second course may be from ART, HUM, MUS, PHI, or THE, all foreign language courses
- Criminal Justice Core: a minimum of 15 credit hours, to include CRI 101, 201, 208, 210 (or 207), and 214.
- Foundations for College Success—FCS 101
- History and Social Science: a minimum of 12 credit hours, to include PSY 101, SOC 101, and HIS 101 or 102. The remaining 3 credit hours must be from one of the following categories: Western Civilization (HIS 121, 122); Other World Civilizations (HIS 132, 250, ENG 225)
- Mathematics: Any math course that is MAT 101 or higher.
- Science: Any 4-credit, general education, natural science
- Free/ CJ Electives: a minimum of 9 credit hours with 6 credits being in the liberal arts.
- Health/Physical Education: a minimum of 2 credit hours. All courses with an HPE prefix. One activity course is required.
