REV. JON A. BLACK is a native of Franklin, Pennsylvania anda graduate of Grove City College (BA in English). He earned hisMaster of Divinitydegree atPrinceton Theological Seminary. Upon graduation, he served for two years as assistant pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Erie. From 1974 until 1996 he was pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Kane, PA, and has served as pastor of First, Carlisle since March, 1996. A member of Carlisle Presbytery,Jon has served on various committees through the yearsand was Moderator of the Presbytery in 2007. Jon and his wife Jane have two adult children and two grandsons.

SHIRLEY SPRUNGER KING is a graduate of Bluffton University (Ohio), the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Kansas, where she earned the degree Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance. King’s primary organ teachers include Peter Hurford, Roberta Gary, and James Higdon. An active member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), King has been National Secretary and National Director for the AGO Committee on Membership Development and Chapter Support. As a member of the Harrisburg AGO Chapter, King was the Coordinator of the Region III Convention in June 2011, hosted by the Harrisburg Chapter.
