Finding and Entering Banner IDs into Kintera

1.  Click on Contacts.

2.  Click on Individuals.

3.  Click on Choose Query.

4.  Search for the query titled ‘Missing Alternate IDs.’

5.  Hover over the query titled ‘Missing Alternate IDs’ and click on Run Query.

6.  The list that appears will contain all records that do not have an Alternate ID, or in other words, a Banner ID. If a record appears to have a first and last name, you can attempt to find the Banner ID in Banner.

7.  Hover over the Manage link of the record you want to look at.

8.  Click on the Manage Contact link that appears.

9.  The contact record will open. You can maneuver through the record to find information to help you identify the person in Banner.

10.  Open Banner and find the ID of the person. Make sure it is the same person.

11.  Once you find the Banner ID, you must enter it into the Kintera record.

12.  Click on the Profile tab.

13.  Click on the Personal tab within the Profile tab.

14.  Click on the Edit link.

15.  Enter the Alternate ID located in the center column, near bottom of page.

16.  Click on the Save button.

17.  Click on the Individuals breadcrumb to get back to the main list of contacts.

18.  Repeat process.


Items to check to make sure they are the same person.

·  Last name

·  First name

·  Address

·  Class year

·  E-mail address

·  Souse information

If you can’t find a Banner ID for a person.

·  They are not in Banner

o  If they are an alum (or at least it appears they are an alum in Kintera) please let me know by e-mail or a note in my box.

o  If they are not an alum and they are not in Banner at all

§  Please enter the constituency code of NOBR in Kintera

·  They are in Banner, but don’t have a Banner ID

o  If they are a spouse of an alum but do not have a Banner ID issued to them, please enter the constituency code of NOSP in Kintera

o  If they are anything else, please let me know by e-mail or a note in my box.

How to enter a constituency code

1.  Manage the individual contact record of the person you want to enter a constituency code on.

2.  Click on the Profile tab.

3.  Click on the Constituencies tab within the Profile tab.

4.  Click on the Add button.

5.  Select the correct constituency code from the drop down box.

6.  Make sure Primary is selected.

7.  Check the Display box.

8.  Click on Save.
