Additions
- Complete “Microscope Mania” worksheet. Use the Microscope Basics notes to help you complete it.
- Use microscope and draw the letter “e” as it appears in three different powers of magnification. Draw it on the “Microscope Mania” worksheet.
Station 3 Select-A-Slide
Additions
- Follow the directions concerning the proper use of the objective lens and drawing for one of the slides listed below.
- Use one objective of your choice for the remaining eight slides and draw it on the specimen cards provided.

Station 4 “Pond Water Critters”
Additions
- Use the petri dishes instead of the slides to observe the specimen from the pond water.

List the above protists and identify each one as autotrophic or
heterotrophic, unicellular or multicellular. Also, label the ciliates and
psuedopods.
Station 5 “Scope Basics”
Additions
- Follow the directions for Activity number 1. Write your time in the proper place located on the assignment sheet.
- Follow the directions for Activity number 2. After you and your partner finish timing write the time in the proper place.

Station 7 Protists
- Answer the questions concerning the protists.
- Label the parts listed on the front page of the worksheet.

- Complete the protist crossword located on the back of the worksheet.
