Conduct: Golf is a gentleman’s game and we expect every tour player to act appropriately and show respect for your fellow golfers. Proper dress, behavior and language are required. Anyone caught cheating will be banned from the tour. If conduct is continuous problem, you will be removed from our tour!
Format: 18 Hole stroke play. USGA Rules govern all play. Low net winners, closest to pin winners and skin winners will be determined after all play is complete. Handicaps will be kept and maintained throughout the tour by USGA handicap software. ERC is used for handicap only, NOT during play. “Picking up” and “gimmies” are not USGA rules and will not be used on this tour. No mulligans. Tournament starting times were set according to host club tee time availability (mornings are usually reserved for host club members).
AGT Membership: In addition to the entry fee required for each tournament, each individual player is required to pay a one-time $30.00 yearly Membership fee. In addition, you will receive a FREE Elite Golf Tour tee shirt, Rules of Golf rulebook, Elite Tour bag tag, weekly giveaways, free refreshmentsand post tourney cookouts at each tournament. Don’t be fooled by other overpriced tours. We make it affordable and put our emphasis on having fun and providing a professionally organized, USGA governed tour experience.
Prizes: First and Second (Low Net) in each flight will receive prizes and/or gift certificates for merchandise which will not exceed $750.00 in total retail value per player per tournament (pursuant to USGA rule to maintain amateur status). First and Second place will receive a trophy and prize money.
Prizes are funded from player entry fees, thus actual value of merchandise and/or certificates awarded to top three finishers in each flight depends on number of contestants per tournament:
1st – 60% of purse and trophy, 2nd – 40% of purse.
In addition, points are awarded according to finish.
These points will accumulate throughout each Season to determine the Season Champion and Runner-up.
AGT Organizers: The AGT organizer of the Upstate is Elite Sports. We are the promoters of our golf tour; we cannot and will not attempt to compete and win our own tournaments.

Rules of Golf:Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and a copy will be given to you free prior to the tour. Personal appearance of all AGT competitors must be neat with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Proper golf etiquette is required at all times. Throwing clubs will not be tolerated and subject to disqualification. Maintain a good pace on the course to avoid stroke penalties. On the first tee, each player shall identify his or her ball by a distinctive mark and count the number of clubs in their bag. Where there is a disagreement or uncertainty of the Rules of Golf, the player should announce that he is playing two (2) balls; the first will be the ball as it lies and the second ball according to the alternate rule interpretation. At the conclusion of the round, the players and his playing partners must obtain a ruling from the host professional, which shall be final. Scorecards must be signed by the marker and player and turned in to the scorer's table at the conclusion of play.
Ties will be decided by a scorecard playoff (1st hdcp hole score, then 2nd, then 3rd, ect...).
In the event of any discrepancy of the rules, the AGT tour director shall have the final ruling.
