This form helps us to match potential volunteers to appropriate tasks. If a suitable role is available, we will contact you with further information and an offer letter. Some roles may require the completion of a DBS check. We will tell you at the time of offering the role if this is the case. BEFORE you complete this form please check the following:
Overseas Volunteers/Students:Natural England is not registered as an official sponsor for overseas volunteers or students. We cannot cover travel expenses to the UK or accommodation expenses whilst in the UK.

Availability of roles and potential location of volunteering: Most of our volunteering opportunities are on Natural England owned and managed National Nature Reserves. We advertise specific voluntary roles on our website and you should follow instructions on the advertisements to apply for these roles. We have very limited opportunities available in our offices and some locations are rarely able to host placements. For sustainability and fairness, we don’t encourage people to travel long distances to volunteer with us.

Using and Sharing Your Information
Your information will be stored and processed in accordance with the data protection act 1998. This act gives you the right to know what data we hold on you, how we use it, with whom we share it and for it to be accurate. The volunteer data we hold is collected for administrative purposes, for reporting and statistical analysis and to allow us to contact you with matters of interest. Natural England may use the name, address and other details on your expression of interest form to contact you in connection with occasional customer research aimed at improving the services that Natural England provides to you. If no suitable role is immediately available we will keep your details on file for up to 6 months.
