THE EVENT WILL BEGIN AT 10.30 a.m. AND FINISH AT ABOUT 4.30 p.m.
All players who enter after 6 pm on Friday night must do so in person on Saturday by 10am
All Players must arrive by 10:15 am to enable the organisers to finalise players in the different sections

UNDER 14, UNDER 12, UNDER 11, UNDER 10, UNDER 9, UNDER 8
(ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE UNDER THE RELEVANT AGE ON 1st JANUARY 2018)
The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate 'neighbouring' age categories if the number of entries in these sections is small.
QUALIFICATION FOR ENTRY
All players must be “Welsh qualified” and also under the relevant age on 1st January 2018. Please refer to the Welsh Chess Union Website (www.welshchessunion.org.uk) for a full list of qualification regulations.

Rate of play – ALL MOVES IN 20 MINUTES with 10 second increment added from move 1.
THERE WILL BE AT LEAST FIVE ROUNDS
Provided there are at least four girls in a section there will be trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If there are less than four competitors the number of prizes will be one less than the number of competitors.
BYES
A player may claim up to two half point byes in the first three rounds only. Further byes may be taken but will be scored 0.
Photographs taken at the event may be used by the organisers for publicity purposes on the WCU website.
Light refreshments will be available for sale.
