PETER FRAMPTON TO TOUR WITH

THE STEVE MILLER BAND THIS SUMMER

NEW SONG “I SAVED A BIRD TODAY” OUT NOW

Grammy-Award wining guitarist Peter Frampton is back on the road with new dates this summer—this time with American rockers The Steve Miller Band. See below for full routing details or visit www.frampton.com.

“Steve Miller was in a recording studio vocal booth stacking incredible harmonies the first time we met in London, circa 1970,” Frampton explains. “From that moment on I have been a huge admirer of his multiple talents: singing, writing and of course his amazing guitar playing. Steve has already asked if I will come and jam on a few tunes during his set. ‘YES PLEASE!’ was my very quick answer! Music is all about having fun and playing from the heart. I can guarantee you much fun will be had by all on this tour.”

Steve Miller furthers, “Peter and I first met at Olympic Studios in London in the late sixties when we were both just starting our recording careers. He was a wonderful guitarist and songwriter then and even more so today. Over the years we’ve played together in venues from theatres to football stadiums and everythingin between. He always sets the musical bar high, his band always knocks me out and I’m thrilled we are going to spend the summer together doing a great run of concerts. This is the kind of quality and talent we both strive to present and I’m looking forward to a summer of great music, exceptional performances and fun.Peter is remarkable musician.”

Furthermore, Frampton’s brand new song, “I Saved A Bird Today,” is out now and has received early attention from Billboard and Guitar World. Listen/share here: https://youtu.be/e-HHMq9zuSE. The song is a true story of Frampton helping a bird that crashed into his window.

Of the song, Frampton explains, “‘To care for one another is the reason we are here’—this lyric sums up the song for me. We are all in uncharted territory right now. ‘Perhaps today, [the bird] was on her way to rescue me,’ which doesn’t seem too far off from what we all need. Politeness and caring for each other cannot be a thing of the past. I can’t explain how great the feeling was to have saved a life. Peace, love and truth trump hate every time.”

Frampton’s latest album, Acoustic Classics, continues to receive widespread critical acclaim—Guitar Player raves, “Frampton’s playing flows fluently throughout and the variety of exquisite tones keeps the journey interesting.” Frampton also performed on “Conan,” appeared on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” and “Artist Confidential,” and was featured on NPR’s “World Cafe” and “Tiny Desk Concert.”

On Acoustic Classics, Frampton brings us stripped-down versions of his hits including “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Lines On My Face,” “Do You Feel Like I Do,” “Show Me The Way” and more. Acoustic Classics includes one new song, “All Down to Me,” which was co-written by Gordon Kennedy. “All Down to Me” is the only track on the record featuring a guest musician.

Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singerand guitarist for British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first supergroups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. His fifth solo album, the electrifyingFramptonComes Alive!, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and remains one of the top-selling live records of all time.
