Important information for

USTA Pacific Northwest 2012 Early-Start Ratings

Early-start ratings will be published for those players WHO HAVE CHANGED LEVELS and will ONLY be published on the USTA Pacific Northwest web site (www.pnw.usta.com).

Please do not look for early-start ratings or appeal information through TennisLink (http://tennislink.usta.com/leagues/) as only year-end ratings are published there.

Also, players can not appeal through “Find an NTRP Rating” for an early start rating.

The early-start ratings are shown in .5 increments and are published in July for the sole purpose of establishing a rating for those players who plan to play during the 2012 USTA League season which may begin play as early as August 2011.

The ratings apply ONLY to those individuals who are playing in Senior-Super Senior and Mixed-Senior Mixed Doubles League and DO NOT apply to those players participating in Adult League which begins in 2012.

A player who participates in USTA Senior or Mixed League in the Fall of 2011 for the 2012 season will hold that particular rating throughout the entire season providing he/she has not reached the three strikes status.

It is important to note that this is not your final rating for the 2011 USTA League season. We will be publishing the year-end ratings for all players in November 2011.

EARLY START RATING APPEALS

If your name is not on the USTA/PNW Early Start Ratings list, then you still have your Year-end rating from 2010 (Found in “Find an NTRP Rating” on TennisLink)

If your name is on the USTA/PNW Early Start Ratings list and you wish to appeal: You can ONLY appeal DOWNWARD during Registration for an Early Start League.

Do NOT use “FIND an NTRP RATING” to appeal (unless you did not play Adult or Senior Leagues in 2011).
