Rules of the Course
Your safety is your responsibility. We do not accept liability for any accident, injury, illness, loss or damage to you, your horse, your vehicle or your belongings whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
1. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
2. All riders must wear a hat to the current approved standard (correctly fastened, no fixed peak) when mounted. Body protectors and medical armbands must be worn when jumping cross country.
3. Please be aware that this is a working farm and there may be machinery or stock moving about. Children should be closely supervised and dogs (on leads) must be under control at all times.
4. By signing the disclaimer below you are agreeing to abide by the rules. An adult must sign for any rider under 16 years old.
5. Anyone riding should ensure that they are covered for third party public liability insurance.
- No watches allowed.
- There will be ‘L’ fences at the more difficult fences on the course. 15 penalties are incurred for jumping an ‘L’ fence.
8. Entry fees will be refunded only for withdrawals presented in writing before the closing date.
9. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be returned less £5 for administration.
10. Refreshments will be on sale.
11. Class numbers may be restricted.
12. Bibs should be collected from the secretary and will cost £5 (which will be refunded on return of the bib).
13. The organiser’s decision is final.
14. Competition will be run under the BRC Rules of Competition. Please note that combinations eliminated in the SJ phase will not be permitted to continue to the XC phase.
15. Competitors eliminated on the cross country MAY be allowed to continue at the organisers discretion, but only have one attempt at each fence and MUST give way to oncoming horses.
