Consultant for the ASCLME DLIST project which covers 9 countries in the Western Indian Ocean – GEF/UNDP
Compilation and submission of Tenders
2008 - 2010 Natural Scientific Services
Assisted with the compilation of basic assessments, scoping reports and EIA’s for mining companies eg. Xstrata Coal, Middleberg; Driefontain Gold mine
Tender and proposal compilation for potential projects.
Assisted with both field work and reports for biodiversity assessments in Gauteng, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
Biodiversity assessments were completed for mines, power stations, water pipelines and other listed activities.
Field work and report component of biodiversity action plans for mining companies.
Environmental management plans for waste recycling facilities, mines and other industries.
Assisted with field work and wrote reports for bio-monitoring and aquatic assessments.
Developed and produced maps and handled other GIS requirements.
Some maps produced include Ecological sensitivity maps, Wetland delineations and Areas of concern.
Project managed an environmental management plan and a biodiversity assessment.
Liaison with clients and government officials.

Worked part time for one and a half years at a remote sensing and GIS company.
Gained experience digitising satellite imagery, remote sensing data and aerial photography using ArcGIS 9.2 software.
