2015-16 SGPC Member Expectations

As the official delegate of my campus, I will conduct myself professionally and will work diligently to improve my campus and the Tennessee Board of Regents System. As such, I have read the statement of expectations for SGPC members below and my signature indicates that I understand and accept these standards as a condition for my involvement in SGPC for the 2015-16 school year.

·  Each meeting is designed for registered participants only. I understand that I will be unable to invite family or friends with me to the retreat or meetings.

·  I will respond in a timely fashion to the communication sent to me by the Tennessee Board of Regents. This includes registering for meetings on time, as well as submitting any required payments by the established deadlines.

·  I will keep my campus SGA informed on what SGPC is doing and collect any concerns from students on my campus that need to be relayed to SGPC.

·  I agree to be candid, participative, and respectful to all parties present at the retreat/meetings.

·  I will arrive at each session/meeting on time, and I will participate actively in the discussion. I agree to be present for the retreat in its entirety.

·  I understand that, pursuant to TBR policy and my home campus’ policy, all meetings/retreat are tobacco-free, alcohol-free, and drug free. I understand that any possession of or use of firearms or dangerous weapons of any kind is not permitted.

·  I understand that any violation of the expectations established by this document, TBR policy, the student conduct policy and/or general policies of my home campus, or the aiding and abetting of the commission of any of the offenses, will be referred back to my campus and may result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension or expulsion from the institution.

·  I understand that any violation of the expectations established by this document, TBR policy, the student conduct policy and/or general policies of my home campus as published in the institution’s code of conduct, or the aiding and abetting of the commission of any of the offenses, I may barred from further participation in the SGPC and/or asked to leave any retreat/meeting and return home at my own personal expense.
