Common Syllabus
Instructor:

The following syllabus is a guideline for teaching English IV. Instructors will vary their lessons using the Holt McDougal textbook and other supplemental resources. The research project will also vary due to availability of the library and other resources on campus.
1-9 Weeks Exploring British Literature
1. Introduction to Class, review SISD and school rules, use of agenda’s and classroom etiquette.

2. Expressing Ideas in Writing, Research Projects and MLA
3. Unit 1: Anglo Saxon & Medieval Periods 449-1485 - and The Epic Tradition Collaborative Groups/Report, Presentations on introductory section.
Epic Stories, Reflection on Common Life, Themes across Cultures
