NEWSLETTER FOR THE CURSILLO DIOCESES

Dear Friends in Christ,

For those of you who were unable to join us for a really joyful and blessed National Ultreya in Wakefield on Saturday 7th September; I send commiserations and an outline of my notes delivered to those gathered then.

APPOINTMENTS

PRESIDENT ELECT is Mrs Sally Henniker-Major who will take over from me at the next AGM/Catch the Vision weekend which takes place at High Leigh from 30th May 2014.

CLW CONVENOR ELECT is Mr. Paul Thacker, who will take over from Jan Watts at the AGM/Catch the Vision weekend also.

I also appealed for a new Resources Officer to take over from Anne Cullen, and if anyone has an interest in this post; please let me know by 18th September, 2013. We already have 3 persons considering this option.

NATIONAL ULTREYA GB 2014 will be held at Canterbury Cathedral on 30th August, 2014

BAC PILGRIMAGE 2013 which began on Tuesday 20th August saw 48 people gather at St. John’s College Durham to enjoy in great measure 4 days of fellowship and immense blessings of many kinds as we visited places significant to Christianity in this Country, including Hartlepool, Whitby, Lindisfarne and the Lindisfarne Gospels. The success of this was due in no small measure to the Cursillistas of Durham and our excellent expert guide, Rev’d John McManners.

There will be reports and photos of both the Wakefield GB Ultreya and the Pilgrimage in the next edition of BACC Pages and on our Website.

Rev’d Hugh Burgess and I are willing to help any Diocese who wish to hold either a Day of Deeper Understanding or a Clergy Taster Day

I have had a very positive meeting with Roman Catholic Cursillo Leaders

AGM/Catch the Vision 2014 – 30th May to 1st June at High Leigh Retreat Centre. This is a good time to meet together and share in the joy of being taught by our National Spiritual Director, and to welcome your new President. Details of how to book for this weekend will be available shortly. We can take 120 Cursillistas in total.

Please remember in your prayers all those who are sick or bereaved at this time.
