Information Sheet
Fall 2009
Students: Please read all of this information carefully. This is to outline your responsibilities and the requirements for this class.
You will need to keep a notebook for each nine-week grading period. The better organized you are, the easier it will be to study for a test or complete assignments and projects. I may periodically check your notebook throughout the nine weeks or give you a notebook test at the end of the nine-week grading periods. You will need to keep all of your assignments (warm-ups, labs, etc.) in an orderly fashion in your notebook. NOSPIRALNOTEBOOKS!
Make-up assignments are your responsibility! If you are absent you will need to find out what assignments you missed and make them up in a timely manner. Someone else may be taking the same subject in another class period, but they may not be doing the same assignments. To avoid doing the wrong assignment, please ask me. Homework worksheets will be placed in the worksheet basket so check the basket if you need to pick up any worksheets.
Classroom Discipline
I will be using the discipline plan outlined in the student handbook as well as the following classroom rules and procedures.
Classroom Rules:1. Listen & Follow Directions.
- No Cheating! This includes copying!
- Bring your materials to class with you. (pens*, book, notebook, etc.)
- Be in the classroom and ready to work when the tardy bell rings.
- Hand in your assignments on time!
*Pen ink should not be red, pink, orange, or yellow. Using any of these colors will result in loss of points or no credit.
Classroom Procedures:
- Sharpen pencils at the beginning of class and NOT during instruction.
- Hand in papers in the “Hand In” basket only.
- Make-up work is your responsibility to pick up and hand in. This includes tests! You will have one day to make up work for the day missed. Please see me if you have a question or problem.
- Respect others and their property. This includes school property!
Let’s all do our best to have a great year and learn in the process. If you have questions please ask.
Thank you,
W. Tillery
