All students vote for their award choice in EC and picture book categories this week / Voting is conducted by each student placing a coloured matchstick in the container bearing the shortlisted title they wish to vote for. Votes are tallied and ‘Winners’ announced during BW.

Resource book used for templates etc is ‘Connect to Reading’: Children’s Book Week 2014 compiled by the Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Network.

Other ongoing activities/displays:

Students headshots ‘connected’ to books they are currently reading as a display on the back library wall.

Students and staff write their name and the book they are currently reading on a large sheet of white paper labelled ‘Connect to Reading’

The St3 COS Kids Lit Quiz eliminations will run from Tuesday Week 2. Teams of four play off in each class until the final 4 teams, who will then compete as the TPS teams selected to compete against other COS teams on Thursday Week 6 in Book Week.
