Online Overviews of Our Division
What? The online section overviews are available for all of our employees on the Division of Child Development’s Intranet.
Who? The overviews are for all employees, both new and experienced, to enable greater understanding of all the parts that comprise our team whose goal is to build a stronger social and economic future for North Carolina by promoting high quality early childhood experiences.
When? The overviews are for new employees and are also useful as a reference tool throughout your career at the Division of Child Development.

North Carolina Division of Child Development’s Section Overviews
To begin:
By following these three steps, you will continue your professional development training with the Division of Child Development.
Step One: Instructions
If you have never used DCD’s online training system before, please take a few minutes to view:

Step Two: Presentations
There are a total of seven overviews, the first six each lasting approximately 10 minutes. You may take more time to view each presentation, as some users choose to pause, review and recap the information shared.
Module 7 was created for new employees of the Regulatory Services Section that are completing Part One of Basic Job Skills Training (BJST). Those taking BJST Part One must complete Modules 1 – 5 & 7. If you are not enrolled in BJST, but want more information on the regulatory services section, you are welcome to view the presentation as well.

Step Three: Certificate

· To be valid, you must add the code received at the end of each presentation to the certificate
· Module 1 – An Agency Overview – does not have a code
· The certificate is a Word Document
Please open, type in the completion codes, type in your name and:
- Print one copy for your personal records
- Print one copy for your section’s training coordinator
