Accelerated World Literature & Composition
Due Date: Thursday, August 31, 2017
1. While performing your research, consider the following questions: What are the cultural aspects of the tribes you’ve chosen? Would assistance or intervention from the modern world negatively or positively impact these tribes?
2. Next, use research techniques supplied by Mrs. Shaw-Williams to find 5-10 relevant, credible sources of information that will help you answer the research questions. Your sources should come from a variety of media that you found on GALILEO and or Destiny.
3. Use 10-12 size Times New Roman or Calibri Font.
4. In the upper right-hand corner of your final paper, include the following, in this order: your first and last name, teacher’s name, course name, class period, and date.
5. Include an MLA citation for each source. Visit the Resources section of my website for help.
6. In a brief paragraph (100-150 words), summarize and evaluate each source. Also, include a statement about how the source relates to the research questions.
7. Refer to your annotated bibliography handout for assistance and the Resources section of my website.
8. Be sure to include a hanging indent for each citation.
9. Remember to attach this rubric to your annotated bibliography page prior to submission.

Engaging ScenarioRecently, a tribe of indigenous people was discovered in a region of Africa. Several news outlets and humanitarian organizations have been discussing whether or not the tribe needs intervention/assistance by the modern world to help formulate and cultivate societal norms. As an anthropologist for Anthropology Incorporated, you will research various tribes through their folk tales and historical documents. You will investigate the origin and cultural development of multiple tribes to determine the various influences affecting them. Your immediate supervisor has given you the task of developing a presentation on a predicted impact of the modern world’s influence on the tribe. Convince a panel of humanitarians that intervention or assistance from the modern world will either negatively or positively impact the tribe.
