(He stops and puts her down)

(Greg is holding the camera)

Greg: Hey, Jason.

(Jason looks towards the camera)

Greg: How’s your new house?

Jason: Oh, the house is great, man. And we got enough room so that if a kid comes around suddenly, we won’t have to move out.

Greg: Sounds good. So you want a kid?

Jason: (chuckles) Not yet, man. Not yet.

(Fade out)

Jason: Not yet.

(Cut to a shot of Jason jumping across a creek and regaining his balance)

Jason’s Voice Over: I sometimes think “What would’ve happened if I hadn’t left for that fishing trip that day?” “If I had been there with her, could I have saved her?” It doesn’t matter anymore. This is the world today and this is how I will live for the rest of my life; alone in the woods by myself with no one to look after and no one to worry about.

(Cut to Jason at night under a tarp in the woods and it’s raining)

Jason’s Voice Over: I don’t know why I’m still talking to you day after day; maybe it’s just because of a false hope that someone is listening, or maybe it’s just because I need someone or something to talk to. Or maybe it’s just an indifference; maybe I don’t care who or where you are or what your problems are and I don’t even want to find you…… But I want you to know my story and why I’m out here and why I’m not dead.

(Cut to Jason crouching in an open field staring down with a radio in his hand speaking into it)

(Jason’s voice is heard)

Jason’s Voice: I found a van the other day on the side of the road.

(Cut to a shot of Jason loading gear into his truck)

Jason’s Voice: It was blown out and whoever drove it wasn’t far. I took the gas out of the van because the gas station I had run across was out. In return in case the owner came back, I gave a jug of clean water, so if you’re the owner than just know that it was me who took your gas and I apologize if you needed that gas more than I did.

(Cut to a shot of Jason driving the truck along the interstate)

Jason’s Voice: The thunder storm brought up some repressed memories that I wish I could forget. I’ve had a terrible past, but I know some of you must have it worse than me so than who am I to complain.

(Jason looks up at a picture of him and his wife, Rebecca hanging from the rearview mirror)

(Jason stares at it for a while and then grabs it and lays it face down on the console)

Jason’s Voice: I wish things could be different. I always go to sleep and I think that I’m going to wake up in my bed with Rebecca asleep next to me. I wish she was still alive, but I can’t do anything about that.

(Jason looks ahead on the road and steps on the brakes)

(He takes the keys out of the ignition)

(He steps out of the car)

(Cut to a shot of Jason walking in front of his truck and stopping to stare at something in front of him off camera)

Jason’s Voice: After all that’s happened, I still prefer solitude and the woods. No one to take care off, no one to look after,

(Camera shot from behind Jason of a large clump of broken cars blocking the road)

Jason’s Voice: No one to hold me back.

(Cut to Jason sitting on top of his truck speaking into the radio)

Jason’s Voice: Again I’ll stress to you, if you’re listening to this, don’t come find me; I don’t want you here and I won’t take care of you and I won’t provide for you. It’s not that I don’t care about you, but I’ve decided to stay away from the world until someone cures this. Regardless, don’t forget about me, because I broadcast to you to tell you my story and I hope that someone will remember yours.

(Jason turns off the radio and throws it in the truck)

(The music fades)

(Cut to Jason walking up to the large road block of cars)

(He walks up to a car and looks into the window)

(There is a body in the driver’s seat)
