Key Responsibilities

General Description / As a key member of the store operations team you will be responsible for delivering sales and providing a superior standard of service to our customers. You will support the daily needs of our customers, whilst providing a hands on, operational and sales focused approach. You will be required to contribute to the overall achievement of the store’s KPIs in a cross functional capacity. This role reports to the Store Management team.
Area / Key Responsibilities Area / Key Performance Measures
Delivering Sales / ·  Meet and greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensure they are handled with courtesy and efficiency
·  Demonstrate drive, energy and innovative methods to achieving your stores sale targets
·  Keep abreast of daily and weekly store targets / ·  Portray a professional and courteous image of the company at all times
·  Drive sales through various relevant techniques. Avail of all opportunities to add incremental sales to each customer transaction
·  Demonstrate an understanding of the associated transaction based KPIs and proactively execute the relevant performance drivers
Customer Service / ·  Act as an ambassador on behalf of the business
·  Provide first class customer service at all times
·  Deliver prompt and resourceful problem solving solutions
·  Take appropriate actions to go ‘the extra mile’ for our customers / ·  Deliver excellent customer care
·  Provide a speedy and responsive service
·  Approach all customers in a timely and courteous manner
·  Work on own initiative in order to provide a superior standard of service
·  Be highly visible and ready to assist customers as and when needs arise with a flexible and helpful approach
·  Achieve and maintain mystery shopper audit results in accordance with best practice standards
Communications / ·  Communicate in a clear manner, ensuring the delivery of a swift responsive service
·  Develop positive working relationships with all relevant parties / ·  Interact in a confident manner and communicate information effectively and appropriately
·  Escalate issues to the relevant line management or department as appropraite
Till Operation & Cashier Duties / ·  Carryout till functions and cash handling duties with precision and accuracy / ·  Carryout till operations in a competent manner and deliver efficient transaction processing
·  Ensure accurate daily till reconciliation
·  Display a high level of security awareness
Stock Control,
Goods-in, Merchandising
& Display / ·  Ensure timely order processing to maintain optimum levels of current stocks
·  Display the customer offer in a fashion which provides for optimum sales levels by stock line
·  Compile pick lists, order and receive deliveries, ensure stock information is accurate and up-to-date
·  Stock-taking duties / ·  Demonstrate efficient management of stock rotation and merchandising
·  Ensure product lines are displayed in a commercial manner
·  Efficiently manage the returns process, ensuring stock levels are controlled in accordance with the specified returns criteria
·  Daily output of stock quantities
Product knowledge & Company Initiatives / ·  Display strong product knowledge and an eagerness to develop expertise an ongoing basis
·  Keep abreast of current in-store promotions across the various departments
·  Keep abreast of company initiatives and developments / ·  Support the daily needs of our customers across a wide variety of product queries, ensuring speedy resolution and client satisfaction
·  Present a willingness to impart product knowledge and to seek out relevant product information
·  Display expertise with regard to product deletions, additions and in-store positioning
Administration Tasks / ·  Carry out various daily administration tasks as required / ·  Deliver accurate reporting, ordering and documentation completion as necessary
General House Keeping / ·  Carryout general house keeping duties, including appropriately dispensing of waste materials, cleaning, dusting and tidying / ·  Ensure your assigned areas within the store are presentable and well maintained at all times
·  Assist in achieving the overall store presentation standards as required
Health & Safety Responsibilities / ·  Adhere to all health and safety protocols and legislative requirements
·  Display an awareness of risk management and provide a proactive response / ·  Ensure correct use of Company equipment and proper completion of manual handling duties
·  Take reasonable care of personal safety and that of others
·  Co-operate with employer with regard to relevant legislation
·  Reports all accidents and defects
Miscellaneous / ·  Adhere to Company policies and procedures
·  This is a cross functional role, which will require job rotation across departments / ·  Ensure high operational standards are achieved within the store
·  Other tasks as may be required to support the store operations as the needs of the business dictate

You will possess a team focused attitude and a strong knowledge of retail operations. The successful candidate will have previous retail sales experience within a fast paced, customer focused environment.

Cash Handling & Computer Literacy / ·  The candidate will be required to work with various computerised systems, including till and stock related systems
·  Experience in managing large sums of cash in a fast paced and pressurised environment / ·  Cash handling and till reconciliation experience essential
·  Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
·  Computer literacy, including keyboard skills, typing proficiency and knowledge of MS excel, word and email
Communication / ·  The candidate will display excellent communication skills / ·  The candidate will possess excellent verbal communication skills, including telephone manner
·  A proven track record of successfully communicating across different levels in a retail environment
Initiative & Team Work / ·  The role is a pivotal one, where the candidate will be required to liaise with various individuals in order to source and/or deliver information
·  Achieving task completion through team work is essential
·  The candidate will also be expected to work independently and efficiently, prioritising as necessary / ·  A motivated individual who is both collaborative and team oriented
