Concord Cannons Advertisement Fundraiser

Corporate Advertising Packages - We have put together some advertising opportunities for local business’s. These packages include a cover letter explaining the Cannons Baseball and Softball program and ways they can advertise their business with Concord Sports Center and Concord Cannons. The money raised for the sale of the advertisement goes towards the playing fees for the season. It is however each player’s responsibility to acquire all items needed to fulfill the advertisement contract. Concord Sports Center has a variety of vendors for all the materials but the player’s must do the leg work in making sure their advertiser receives what they signed up for. Concord Sports Center and the Cannons organization will work with the sponsor to make sure their marketing information is listed on the Concord Sports Center website and banners/marketing materials are displayed at Concord Sports Center. All money raised is applied to the playing fees for that player however it’s each player’s responsibility to purchase the materials to fulfill the sponsorship.

This information is for the player and parents to better understand how the Sponsor/Advertisers program works.

Here are the steps to follow so you and your sponsor know what is expected.

  1. The Dear Sponsor letter should be changed to Dear Weathervane Manger (use their name if known)
  2. Together with the letter and the advertising options should be given, mailed to the company or sponsor.
  3. If delivered by hand explain the program to the sponsor, and follow-up with them in just a few days.
  4. If mailed, follow-up in about a week. Give the sponsor time to read and go over it. If you can follow-up in person it will give you the opportunity to put a face with the request.
  5. When approaching the sponsor/advertiser be sure you understand how the program works, don’t make it complicated because it’s not and remember our staff will help you with whatever is needed.
  6. When you do follow-up with them bring the advertising contract, it has 2 pages the Application/Contract and the second page shows the level of sponsorship that is then same list you gave them with your letter.
  7. Helpful hints: Dress appropriately, be polite, and wear something saying Cannons Baseball or Softball.
  8. It’s best to keep all paperwork for each sponsor and make notes as to when you need to call them.

I’m here to help you, or I can be reached at .

Best,

Lesa Tupman

Concord Sports Center

Dear (Business or Sponsor),

The purpose of this letter is to introduce you to the Concord Cannons Travel Baseball and Softball Organization and to ask for your help. The Cannons program was established in 2007 to give New England baseball and softball players the opportunity to participate at the highest level of youth sports in the country. Over that time we have had great players that have bought into our organization which has allowed our program to grow from 2 teams in 2007 to 15 teams in 2016. Over the 9 seasons the Cannons program has achieved numerous accomplishments on and off the field. To name a few in 2011 the 13U Concord Cannons won the AAU New England Championship and Triple Crown’s East Coast Nationals. In 2012 the 11U Concord Cannons won the Elite Baseball League Championship and Baseball Heaven Independence Day Championship. The 2015 campaign was the most successful in the programs history capturing numerous New England Titles and several tournament championships. The 12U Cannons won the Super 25 Perfect Game Regional earning a birth in the Perfect Game World Series in Georgia. They were the first NH team to participate in the Perfect Game World Series. The Lady Cannons captured 7 championships and several runner ups in 2015.

Since 2007 the Cannons program has seen (49) players go on to play collegiate baseball/softball and (12) of which at the Division 1 level. In 2011 one of the inaugural Cannons, Jordan Cote was selected in the 3rd round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees. In 2015, the Cannons were made up of players from 42 New Hampshire towns and 4 states (New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine).

The Concord Cannons program is for the serious ball player – those who are looking for more than just town leagues. What the Cannons can offer you that most town leagues can’t are professional coaches, winter workouts, and better competition. The purpose of this program is to develop the younger athlete into a complete baseball or softball player. We utilize our professional instructors to teach players how to train and play at a highly competitive level of baseball and softball. The program focuses on not only the training of young athletes, but also stresses the importance of achieving academic excellence in the classroom. The Cannons are looking for dedicated, teachable athletes who want to take their game to the next level through hard work and dedication.

Every Concord Cannon’s coach has played at the collegiate level, with many of them playing in professional organizations. Young athletes in the Cannons program are entitled to year-round private and team instruction at Concord Sports Center; practice and game attire; 30-40 regular season games and travel tournaments. That being said, we are offering your business an opportunity to have a direct impact on our program. The Concord Cannons are currently offering a limited number of advertising opportunities for local businesses that will directly help players participate. Every dollar raised through these advertising packages will go directly to that player’s season entry fees. Please see the following page to be a part of the Concord Cannons Program.

Sincerely,
