QUALIFICATIONS/
EDUCATION /
- Relevant professional qualification and registration/RGN
- Appropriate degree level qualification
- Masters degree in palliative care or similar ( or willing to undertake)
- Evidence of CPD
- Advanced communication qualification
- Independent nurse prescriber (or willing to undertake)
- Advanced clinical assessment training (or willing to undertake)
- Mentorship qualification
- Research qualification
- Teaching qualification.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES /

EXPERIENCE
/- Substantial post registration experience and expertise which includes practicing at advanced practitioner level in palliative care
- People management experience including performance management, workforce planning and recruitment
- Change management and conflict management experience
- Experience in developing and teaching others.
- Nurse prescribing experience
- Operational management experience
- Experience of ensuring continuous improvement
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING /
- Work independently and as part of community and extended teams
- Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of clinical governance issues
