Getting Out of the Blame Game

The Blame Game

(Genesis 3:8-12 KJV)

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

G

ames seem to consume a lot of our time, money and energy. I remember the old traditional game we use to play as kids - hide and go seek, tag you're out, marbles, red rover, battleship, jump rope, and hopscotch. Many of those game were harmless, and yet others were dangerous and life threatening. Every since the Garden of Eden, mankind has played the blame game. The game requires no money, no partners, no rule, no qualification, no intelligence or competence. All of us at one time or another has played the blame games.

These days it seem as if everyone has been exposed to the "Blame Someone else Syndrome." It's your Parents, Brother, Sister, Pastor, Deacons, Preachers, Church Members, School teachers, Classmates, Bus driver, Casino, and the Co-workers fault that you have been contaminated with the "Blame Someone else Syndrome."

The blame game syndrome is a condition that a person has perpetuated most of their adult lives. It starts in childhood during a hurtful act done to them by someone else. By word, action or even a mean look can cause a person to become infected, and indulged with the "Blame Someone else Syndrome."

The good news is, "You're not enrolled in the blame game all by yourself." There are many other who would testify they were involved in the blame game.

·  Cain probably blamed Abel for the 'murder'.

·  Jacob probably blamed Esau for his deceitfulness.

·  .Lot probably blamed Abraham for his association with Sodom & Gomorrah...

·  Pharaoh probably blamed Moses for the plagues

·  Achan probably blamed Joshua for the death of his family

·  Saul probably blamed David for his problems; And, no doubt! Samson probably blamed Delilah for his hair cut! And the list could go on and on. If you were to review each of these historical account; I believe that you would discover that each of these individuals should have blamed "themselves!"

Let me stop here and ask you something, are YOU blaming somebody else for all of your problems. Well, if that's the case let's see what Adam and Eve's resolution resorted to as they played the blame game with each other.
