“Never Underestimate the Power of ONE!”

The Dr. Steven A. Hill Foundation was created by his family in the wake on his untimely death. Steve had the uncanny ability to connect with many different people of all facets of life. His quick wit and friendly personality will not be soon forgotten by many with whom he associated. In the days following his death, Steve’s family heard hundreds of stories of how he made a difference in the lives of countless people. His family wanted in some way to be able to carry on his legacy and continue to touch and enrich the lives of others. This is how the Dr. Steven A. Hill Foundation was created. One of Steve’s favorite quotes was “never underestimate the power of one.” One person truly can make a difference in the lives of many. Steve was one of those people and we hope to be able to continue to make a difference in the lives of others as we carry on his legacy.

Scholarship amount: $1,000.00

Application deadline: April 9, 2016

Eligibility:

·  Graduating senior from Bountiful High School or Northridge High School

·  Have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher

·  For use at any college or university

·  In selecting a recipient, consideration will be given to academic ability, extra-curricular activities, and community service

Applicant Requirements:

·  Completed Student Personal Information form & Signed Photo Release

·  Completed Student Achievement form

·  3 letters of recommendations written by those familiar with your career goals, your success in school, and your personal character.

Letters from family members will not be considered.

·  Essay

No more than 2 page typed double-spaced essay on how you have or will apply our motto of “Never Underestimate the Power of ONE”

·  Official copy of your most recent high school transcript

·  Evidence of application/acceptance to a college or university

·  Copy of SAT or ACT scores

·  Photograph (your photograph may be used for publicity purposes)

Applications will be accepted if postmarked NO LATER THAN April 9, 2016for the 2015-2016 academic year. Send the completed materials as noted above to the following:
