Description: S2 application is being used to automate the trade life cycle events like cashflow loading, cashflow matching and payment generation, thereby increasing the efficiency of trade processing. The application has been developed in JDK 1.5 with Sybase as the database. The communication amongst various modules is being done via IBM MQ.
Role: I am working as a consultant for Morgan Stanley in this project and my job is to develop the payment generation module for a trade once the cashflow load and cashflow matching have been done. In addition, I am also working on developing some backfilling utilities for this application in order to migrate the existing data to S2 application automatically.

Description: Financial trading also involves movement of various legal documents that have to be signed, verified and dispatched through various stages by people with various roles. Scrittura is such an application that was originally developed by IPICorp and now being owned and maintained by Morgan Stanley. This is a web-based application, which can be used to route trading documents through various stages of workflow thereby automating the whole process. It also interacts extensively with various other applications at Morgan Stanley where data being used by Scrittura has to be integrated with other applications.
Role: I am working as a consultant for Morgan Stanley in this project and my job is to maintain and enhance the application by interacting with the business users. I am also responsible for offering useful analysis and technical consultancy in some of the outstanding issues, which teams in other groups of Morgan Stanley face.

Project: Northstar
Description:The development of the Financial Analysis enterprise application meant to be used by financial advisors in Investment Houses was based on a dual shore development model with the onsite team working on Data Layer and Business Layer along with the offshore team working on Application Layer and UI layer. This application could be used to manage the portfolios of investors, along with potential investors, and perform a risk analysis of the clients to help them in investing in potentially rewarding investments.
Role: I was part of one of the three feature teams which handled the Application and UI layer of the External Holdings management module of the application. I was responsible for analysis of SRS along with the design and development of the UI and Application layer of this feature. I was also involved in the development of the external holdings configuration step in the presentation generation feature of the application based on the risk taking capabilities of the investor, which involved addition/deletion and updation of holdings.
