Application
I hereby apply for the Straniak Academy on Democracy and Human Rights, which will take place from 6 to 19 September 2015 in Ulcinj/Montenegro.
The registration fee for the Straniak Academy on Democracy and Human Rights is EUR 150 forparticipants from the Western Balkan region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo) and EUR 250 from EU Member States and other Countries.
Accommodation (half board including breakfast and lunch or dinner) is covered by the Straniak Academy. Travel and additional subsistence expenses have to be borne by the applicants themselves. All bank charges for transmitting the tuition fee have to be covered by the applicants.
The number of places is limited (30 to 35). Admission to the Straniak Academy is subject to available places, the applicant’s qualification and the country of origin, which will be considered by the SelectionCommittee of the Straniak Academy.
IMPORTANT:
Selection procedure/deadlines:
-The call for application is open from 1 March 2015 until 1 June 2015
-The programme including the list of lecturers will be available online in April 2015
-Applications have to be submitted in electronic format no later than 1 June 2015
-The selected participants will be informed until 15 June 2015 about the results/admission
-The registration fee has to be transferred NOT LATER than 30 June 2015, confirming your participation.Otherwise, the candidate will be excluded from the list of participants and a candidate from the waiting list will be contacted instead!
-The Straniak Academy team will contact the waiting list candidates until 15 July 2015who will have to transfer the registration fee not later than 31 July 2015.
Selection criteria:
The Selection Committee of the Straniak Academy will select 30 to 35 students after close consideration of the following selection criteria:motivation of the candidates, academic achievements and advancement in the respective studies, academic background, practical experience, equal gender proportion, regional proportion.
Cancellation:
The cancellation of the application has to be submitted in writing no later than 4 weeks before the start of the Academy. The cancellation fee amounts to 30% of the tuition fee.If an application is not cancelled in due time, the cancellation fee amounts to 100% of the tuition fee.
