Sherwood News:
I hope you noticed the beautiful grounds as you came back to school this week. We give a big shout out to the Warrior Club, Kathy Green, parents, students and staff who participated in the Warrior Club Campus Cleanup on Saturday, August 29. They worked hard at planting, mulching and sprucing up our school campus. Please give them a thank you when you see them.
We have students from the La Ginesta School outside of Barcelona, Spain visiting Sherwood this week. Students will be in the building and they will be paired up with our students. Joining them are three of their teachers, Immaculada Romana Lopez, Maria Isabel Ricart Pozo and Nuria Palau Pedret.
The special education case managers are in the process of sending letters to parents introducing themselves and the Student Snapshots will be distributed by Wednesday. If you do not receive your Snapshots by then, please contact Karen Racer. The counseling department provided teachers with the 504 accommodations of their students. If you did not receive those, please stop by the Counseling Office.
Counselors and Joe Hock will be doing Naviance training at lunch in Room A296 on 9/15, 9/17, 9/22, 9/24, 9/29 and 10/1. This is to review the process of applying for college through Naviance (for students) and to assist teachers with using it and uploading recommendation letters.
Back-to-School Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th. If you need a table set up for any clubs or activities, please contact Dr. Carroll or Caitlin Ring. Also, we will be providing dinner for those staff who will stay after school.
