Project Checklist
Complete this checklist after you have completed the entire quest in Gamestar Mechanic. Each of these activities will be saved in your portfolio (the folder in your Drive).

Create an outline of your game in numbered form. Include all of the following for each of your five levels:
Game Name
A unique name for each level (capitalized and spelled correctly)
Whether your level is going to be a platform or top-down game and why
What type of avatar/sprites you are going to use and how they work in the game (do they move quickly, do they shoot, do they disappear?)
Rules for your level (Complete sentences with appropriate capitalization, punctuation, and spelling)
What makes your level challenging (so many lives, time limit, lots of sprites to destroy…)

Create an advertisement for your game showcasing each of your fivelevels. You must include the following:
Your game title and program (Gamestar Mechanic)
A picture from each of your five levels
Include names of each level using WordArt
Use color and space effectively
Use a text box to write what is unique about your game. You may only write 2 well-written sentences using active verbs and avoiding clichés and dead words.

PowerPoint:
Create a PowerPoint about the design of your game. Make sure to include:
Title slide with your game name, program (Gamestar Mechanic), and your first and last name
At least 6 slides detailing the development of your game. Consider the following questions:
How did I make my game?
What did I use to make my game challenging?
What elements of the quest did I use when designing my game?
Why did I choose particular avatars when creating my levels?
What challenges did I have to overcome?
Did I put any twists in my game to trick a gamer?
One thing that I could do to improve the quality of my game (after reviewing other games)?
What did other people think about my game?
Each of your 6 slides should contain text, graphics and transitions throughout (PowerPoint tips can be found on the website under Additional Resources). Choose one slide to use audio (music or voice-over) to enhance your presentation.
