Bray Area Partnership (BAP) Warmer Homes Scheme.

The BAP Warmer Homes Scheme provides a range of insulation measures to eligible individuals through the retrofitting of eligible homes. This project seeks toimprove the energy efficiency and comfort conditions of eligible homes occupied by low-income households.

BAP Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme Community Employment(CE) Supervisor Position Job Description.

Post:CE Scheme Supervisor

Reporting to:Enterprise Coordinator or other designated BAP officer.

Conditions:As per CE regulations, post is for one year full time, fixed term contract.

Location:Theoffice base for the Warmer Homes Scheme is the premises at 42, Southern Cross Business,Boghall Road, Bray and maybe subject to change to such other offices as may be designated by BAP from time to time.

The related work on the Scheme will be undertaken on premises in County Wicklow, Bray and the surrounding areas.

Salary:€32,259.72 per annum as per D.S.P. guidelines

Main Job Function:

  • To undertake supervision duties in compliance with the CE Scheme Operating Guidelines.
  • To co-ordinate work and training of CE participants on the BAP Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme.

Key Tasks:

  • Supporting the recruitment of the participants through the DSP CE Scheme.
  • Preparing learner plans for each participant and overseeing their implementation in accordance with the DSP CE Scheme Operating Guidelines.
  • Overseeing the day to day operations including the preparation of work schedules, supervision of the staff team, budgeting and financial management as CE Supervisor.
  • To supervise the participants in the carrying out of house surveys, insulation, quality control and stock control.
  • To ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with SEAI requirements.
  • To carry out such duties as are required, assigned and agreed by BAP from time to time in accordance with the CE supervisor role.

Person Specification:

  • FETAC level 6 required, other relevant 3rd level qualification desirable.
  • Have three or more years work experience in construction industry, with relevant knowledge and skills of retrofitting and of financial and project management.
  • Understand the dynamics of team work and have the required staff supervision skills.
  • Be familiar with and skilled in the use of IT programmes such as MS office and SAGE.
  • Own transport required.
