Local FIRST Reps

Regional Director - senior FIRST representative on-site, local assistance, responsible for organizing local events, event fundraising, and supporting the development and continuation of teams.

–Sr. Mentor – identify, recruit, and support teams, mentors and coaches (not all areas have one)

–VISTA Volunteer - work in underserved areas: e.g., low-income individuals and communities

–Regional Planning Committee – fund, staff & organize the local FRC Regional event

–Other: Team Liaison, Trainers, On-call Mentors, Grant assistance (there is some variation between regions)

Independent Chartered Affiliates

(not common, e.g., SBPLI/LI-FIRST, FiM)

•Regional Executive Advisory Board - strategic and financial support, and promotion of all FIRST programs in a region

•Regional Planning Committee - responsible for organizing and executing the event

•Volunteer Coordinator - responsible for all event volunteers and filling/assigning vacant positions

•Judge Coordinator – recruits judges from the local business community
