BEADLE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

July 13, 2016

I. CALL TO ORDER

Meeting started at 7:00 PM in the commission room at the Beadle County Courthouse. Since there was not a quorum no action could be taken, only testimony.

Members Present: Denis Drake and Gail Brock

Members Absent: Gary Boomsma, Jeff Tschetter, Troy Mattke & Dave Uttecht

Advisors: Pat Tschetter, Zoning Adm.

Visitors: Pam & Russ Layton, Kristie Wallman, Tom Westphal, Rick Benson, Rich Reimer, Wenda and Billy Hornig, Eric & Jim Gross, Brad Wedel and Tom & Renae Morog.

II. MINUTES

III PLATS

A PLAT OF WIPF TRACT 1 in the NW ¼ 2-111-61 (Valley).

Owner of the property is Judy Wipf, subject to life estate in and to Gladys I Wedel. Plat is 10 acres and a house will be moved in on the site.

KLEINSASSER OUTLOTS 1 AND 2 a part of the SW ¼ 1-110-61 (Custer). Property is in the Estate of Jerome Kleinsasser and is being split between his sons. Land will remain agricultural Outlot 1 is 53.04 acres and Outlot 2 is 67.01 acres.

IV VARIANCE/MOVING PERMIT

Robert and Rita Goehring Trust, 40418 S Shore Road, Huron SD are requesting a variance and moving permit for a 12 x 16 storage shed, prebuilt from Dakota Storage. Building will be placed 2 feet from lot line and will line up with existing building. They are asking for a 5 foot variance. Legal description of the property is Lot 14 Willard & Ellen Tschetter Addition to Lake Byron. Tom and Renae Morog neighbors to the est were present to oppose the shed variance and Rich Reimer neighbor to the west was present and in favor of the variance. The Beadle County Commission will consider the variance/moving permit on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

V BEADLE COUNTY ORDINANCES

Public comments and input on Beadle County Ordinances. Mike Moore and his assistant were present to go over the ordinances. Title 1 Articles 3-19 were discussed. Minutes are posted on the Beadle County Ordinance Facebook page.
