Karp’s Weekly Buzz
February 2, 2018
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. Students may exchange Valentine’s cards on February 14th. This is an optional activity. Our request is that the students address the cards and/or envelopes themselves. If they start early, and do a few each night it shouldn’t be too hard for them to complete this task.
Also, please make sure that a card is included for each student in the class, so that no one gets left out. We have 20 students in our class- please check your child’s daily folder for a class list.
For our card exchange, we are hoping that each child will make a mailbox for their card collection.
For your child’s mailbox, please complete the following family project and send it in with your child on Wednesday, February 14th. Find an old shoebox and decorate the outside of it. You can wrap it, draw on it, cover it in fabric, glue on decorations, anything that you find around your house. Also, please ke sure your child’s name is written in large print on the shoebox. Then cut a slit in the top of the box for the valentines to slide through.
Winter Break is February 19th – 23rd
