1.2SUBMITTALS

  1. Product Data: Submit product data for each type of product used on project with full model number.
  2. Hardware Schedule:
  3. Submit hardware schedule detailing hardware to be provided at each opening for coordination with gates frames, fence posts and related work.
  4. For load bearing hardware provide product information showing quantity and type of hardware recommended by manufacturer to safely carry weight of gate and other applied loads.
  5. For keyed hardware devices, coordinate keying requirements with Owner, and indicate number of keys to be provided with each hardware unit.
  6. Installation Instructions: Submit manufacturer’s installation instruction for each hardware device. Mark installation instructions to indicate mounting heights for all operable hardware showing compliance with applicable code requirements.
  7. Warranty: Submit copy of manufacturer’s warranty for each product.
  8. Extra Materials: Provide 2 keys with each lockable latch (manufacturer’s standard quantity), extra parts, accessories, and tools normally provided by manufacturer with installed hardware for maintenance and adjustment of installed hardware. Include installation instructions, warranties and advisories.

2.1PRODUCTS

1)The ultimate pool safety gate latch, the Top Pull Series 3 (S3) model is designed for swimming pool gates but can be installed on any gate where child safety is important. It is designed to extend above the height of the fence to keep the release knob out of reach of children.

2)Magnetic triggering means there is no mechanical jamming during closure and stops the latch from disengaging due to shaking the gate.

3)MagnaLatch incorporates‘Lost Motion Technology' which allows the latch to engage even if accidentally locked while the gate is open.

4)S3 models have a Visible Lock Indicator to show you at-a-glance whether it is locked or unlocked.

5)S3 models include a rekeyable 6-pin lock to match other locks around the property making safety more convenient and added safety.

6)S3 models have Alignment Indicators for knowing when a gate is in or out of proper alignment.

7)S3 includes an innovative T-track mounting system for ease of alignment and superior fixing strength.

8)Vertical and horizontal adjustment allows fine-tuning during or after installation to overcome gate misalignment.

9)Made from super-strong engineering polymers and stainless steel construction that will not rust.

10)Permanent magnets never lose strength and are sealed from the elements to prevent corrosion.

11)For use on pool gates of 48” (1,200mm) or higher. Always confirm local fence / barrier regulations before installation.

  1. Vertical Pull Series 3 model (Self-latching magnetic latch):
  2. Product Description:

1)The Vertical Pull Series 3 (S3) model offers the same features as the Top Pull Model S3 but in a shorter, more compact body.

2)It is suitable for mounting on taller pool gates where it will still be out of reach of children, as well as on garden or household gates to provide a reliable safety barrier.

3)The Vertical Pull Series 3 is an ideal Pet Security latch as it cannot be shaken open thus preventing pets from escaping. It also keeps pets safe from unwanted intruders.

4)Like the Top Pull Model, the Vertical Pull offers easy adjustment and is key-lockable for added safety.

5)Vertical Pull is for use on pool gates of 60” (1,500mm) or higher. Always confirm local fence / barrier regulations before installation.

  1. Accessories:

1)2” Gate Gap Spacer (fits MagnaLatch Series 2 and Series 3): The MagnaLatchcomes standard with a gate gap variance of 1/2" – 1-1/2" (13-38mm). Use gap spacer for gaps of 1-1/2" - 2" (38-50mm).

2)Round Post Adaptor Kit (fits MagnaLatch Series 2 ONLY): Optional kit for mounting Top Pull and Vertical Pull models to gates and fences with round posts. The Kit includes adaptor brackets and shims to fit most common chain link and railing diameters. Fits fence post diameters of 1-7/8" – 2-7/8" (48-73mm) and gate frames from 1-3/8" – 1-5/8" (35mm-41mm).

3)NOTE: White models and round post adapter kit currently available only with the MagnaLatch Series 2. Look for these to be available for Series 3 in the future.

  1. ALERT Child Safety Gate Latch with Electronic Alarm
  1. Product Description:

1)Both the MagnaLatchSeries 3 Top Pull and Vertical Pull models are now available with an optional electronic alarm system integrated into the latch.

2)World’s first integrated gate latch and alarm system.

3)World’s first to provide both audible and visual alarms.

4)World’s first gate alarm that tells you when the gate latch is not secure, regardless of whether the gate appears to be closed.

5)Tested to over 2 million cycles.

6)Wireless – Long-life lithium metal battery included (replace every 70,000 cycles).

1)The MagnaLatch Side Pull Model is a general-purpose, magnetic gate latch that offers simple, effective latching for home and garden gates. It incorporates D&D’s ‘Lost Motion Technology’.

2)Magnetic triggering means there is no mechanical jamming during closure

3)The footprint is very small and unobtrusive.

4)The standard Side Pull model does not come with a built-in lock. The lockable version is found below.

5)It offers vertical and horizontal adjustment of up to 5/16" (8mm) for quick installation, and to overcome gate misalignment over time.

6)Decorative dress caps are included for a stylish finish.

7)Spacers are included to fit onto fence posts and gates frames as small as 1” (25mm).

8)The Side Pull can be used on picket style swimming pool gates as long as a compliant shield is used to prevent latch access by a toddler. Always confirm local fence / barrier regulations before installation.

Lockable Side Pull Model (Self-latching magnetic latch):
