A.  Officer Reports

·  President Michaels ():

o  Hello Everyone, hope you all have a great week of classes!

o  The Panhellenic Executive Board is asking chapters donate for Campus Connections, which is a for-credit, service-earning course that pairs UNC students as mentors with local community youth (ages 11-18). Campus Connections mentors spend four hours once a week with their mentee in a group setting to provide academic support, career planning, and positive social skill development. More information about the program can be found here: www.unco.edu/campus-connections

§  For the donation drive sororities will be asked to collect snacks:

§  No candy, Snack items must be sealed, individually packaged, and nonperishable (please do not donate a large bag of chips or a tub of pretzels)

§  Examples of requested snacks: chips, crackers, granola bars, snack bags of cookies

§  Walmart, Costco, or Sam’s sells these items in bulk, which may get you more “bang for your buck”

§  Mentors and Mentees meet for 12 weeks so we are trying to collect enough snack items to cover at least 12 weeks

§  The sorority chapter who collects the largest number of snack items will win pizza during one of their chapter meetings

§  Please do not separate out the items - leave them in the box/container you purchased them in

§  We will not count individual items – for example, if you turn in a box that contains 18 individual chip bags that will only count as 1 item not 18 (which is why we need you to keep the items in the box you purchased them in)

§  Each chapter should collect the snack items at their individual chapter house then bring them to Panhellenic Meeting on Monday, February 13 (in a box or large garbage bag)

o  The first official Circle of Sisterhood committee meeting will be held on February 7th at 6pm at the Office of Student life.
