PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL - May 25th – Ascension of the Lord

Presider:

Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father of glory, and so we confidently lift our hands in prayer for the needs of all the world.… aswe cry out, Lord hear our prayer...

  1. For all Christians, as we seek to make disciples of all nations, starting with our own neighbors...

For a world united in love and peace under the dominion of our risen and ascended Lord…

For all those who have celebrated sacraments of initiation this Easter season, as they go forth to evangelize by the way they live …

For all those who are in need of the many services our Church is called to provide, especially those who are hungry and homeless…

For all who seek the comfort of God’s healing word; and for the intentions in our parish book ...We pray.

We are still a nation at war, let us pray for our president, and all our elected officials, the members of our diplomatic corps (core) and all those who serve our country in our uniformed services..... may their efforts for peace and justice be fruitful;..... together, let us raise our voices in a prayer for true and lasting peace......
