EVENT: DAMIEN HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST FOOD TRUCK MOVIE NIGHT FEATURING “BACK TO THE FUTURE”
Special outdoor screening of Back to the Future celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film
What:
TheDamien High School Mountain Biking Team and Road Biking Club is hosting an outdoor movie screening and food truck event. This is a community event and the public is invited to attend.
InCycle Bicycles of San Dimas, generous sponsor of the Damien Mountain Biking Team, has donated a GoPro camera and helmets for the raffle event. Additionally, an Apple Watch, donated by Young Power, and other items will be raffled off during the evening.
Pre-sale tickets are available for only $8 each when purchased online at Tickets at the door are $12 each. Children 6 and under are free.
When:
Saturday, August 15th, 2015. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for food, games, raffles, and fun
activities for the whole family. The movie will begin at 8:00 p.m.
Where:
This outdoor screening with multiple gourmet food trucks will be held on the Damien High School athletic field, located at 2280 Damien Ave. in La Verne.
Who:
This is a community event, open to the public and hosted by the Damien High School Mountain
Biking Team. 100% of the proceeds will support fundraising efforts to establish a high tech bike training room. The proposed room will include 8 computerized trainers which will allow the high school mountain bike athletes to train indoors on real courses. This technology will provide training feedback allowing athletes to monitor their heart rate, lactic acid levels, pedal strength, balance, power output and much more. Additionally, athletes will be able to race people around the world making exercising not only more effective but very fun as students race in a game-like environment.
The Damien Mountain Biking team is entering their 3rd year in the SoCal High School Cycling League, competing against 60+ other high schools in Southern California.
