Being a National Honor Society officer is a greater commitment than just being an active chapter member. Your attendance is expected at all general meetings and NHS-sponsored activities unless you are absent from school or have made responsible arrangements with the sponsors prior to the meeting or activity. Additional officer meetings are also held every other week. Consistent absences from general meetings and/or officer meetings may result in point penalties or dismissal from office. You will be expected to carry out your responsibilities to the best of your abilities and without constant reminders at each activity.
